Danny Divito gives Colin Farrell his top hat tips.
Devito famously played a penguin in Tim Burton’s “Batman Returns” (1992). Farrell played the classic villain in director Matt Reeves’ 2022 “The Batman.” DeVito watched The Dark Knight’s latest film adaptation and shared his thoughts on Farrell’s performance.

“Yeah, I did. I thought Colin did a great job,” Davito said TheWrap. “Of course a different environment. I think it was a sharper, more serious, gangster-y Batman. Of course there are three Italians who are bad guys in it, the Falcons.”
“But in terms of performance, I think I thought Colin – who is a good friend of mine – did a great job at it. You take off your hat from someone who has been sitting in the makeup chair for so long. I did it with Penguin and I liked it.” . “

That being said, DeVito is part of Burton’s Batman movie.
“I feel like comparing the two movies, I’m like a Tim Burton fan,” added Davito. “I like whimsical, operatic, dissatisfied P-Wee Herman throws me off a bridge (laughs). That makes me smile. So it’s a different situation, but I’ve seen the movie. “
