Bruce Willis’ wife is extremely grateful for the support she and her family have shown since her husband was diagnosed with asphyxia.
Emma Heming Willis took to her Instagram story on Thursday and posted a message on a pink lemonade-colored background, writing, “Your love, support, sympathy, prayer really helps. I’m grateful. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.”
The message of gratitude comes just days after Emma, Willis’ ex-wife, Demi Moore, and her daughters, Rumer, Scout, Talulah, Mabel, and Evelyn Willis, shared a joint statement about her recent diagnosis with Aphasia.
“As a family, we wanted to share that our beloved Bruce is suffering from some health problems and has recently been diagnosed with aphasia, which is affecting his cognitive ability,” the statement said. “As a result, Bruce is moving away from his career with a lot of consideration, which means a lot to him.”
The family added, “This is a truly challenging time for our family and we are grateful for your continued love, empathy and support. Agree, as you do with him. “
Aphasia is defined by the Mayo Clinic as “a condition that robs you of the ability to communicate. It can affect your ability to speak, write and understand both oral and written languages.”
