‘Fresh Prince’ star Tatiana Ali says Chris Rock ‘didn’t deserve to be hit’

Tatiana Ali was not happy to see a feud between Will Smith and Chris Rock at the Oscars last week.
In a post on Twitter, the “Fresh Prince of Bell-Air” star addressed the incident, where Jada Pinket slapped Smith during an awards show with a joke about Smith’s hair falling out.

I love # Will Smith Very. Crisc Was not worthy of injury. Duration. My heart aches for what happened. I don’t know what caused this chaos and confusion, but I know Will’s heart is big. I have seen him many times try his best to do what is right. I trust him.

Ali Smith co-starred with his cousin Ashley Banks in all six seasons of the original “Fresh Prince”.
On Friday, Smith resigned from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences for the slap and said through a representative that he would “fully accept any and all consequences for my conduct,” adding that his actions were “traumatic, painful and unforgivable.”
