In an interview on a comedy podcast recorded shortly after Seagate’s untimely death earlier this year, Gottfried recalled the film.
“I’ve put that picture up a few times, it’s one of my favorite photos,” he said. “It was a lot of fun.”
“I spoke to Bob, just a few days before his death,” Gottfried continued. “We were on the phone and, as always, the moment something serious or serious happened, we would make it completely dirty and distort it. It was always fun. I always think that when ‘The Aristocrats’ came out, people would say, ‘Can you believe Bob Segate?’ And those who knew him, we couldn’t believe he could talk in any other way. “
He went on to say, “I remember receiving a call from Jeff Ross who said, ‘Oh, the sad news, Bob Segate is dead.’ And I swear, I thought, Oh this is going to be a funny, sick prank, And I said, ‘Oh, okay …’ and I waited for the punchline. And then he said, ‘No, seriously, he’s dead.’ I’m still having a hard time realizing it. “

Looking back at his late friend, Gottfried said, “I think if you could get in touch with the dead and get in touch with Bob Saget, he would make a completely bad taste joke about his own death. He was like that.”
Meanwhile, in his own podcast, before he died, Sedget remembered the late McDonald.
“He cares a lot for people. And he felt for people [so] Deeply that it has affected him in many ways, “Segate said.” Norm McDonald’s was a gift for all of us. And I will always miss him, and I will always love him. “
