HBO has released the first look of the documentary ‘Spring Awakening: Whom You Know’

HBO fans are getting a glimpse of their upcoming documentary on the Broadway hit “Spring Awakening”.
“Spring Awakening: Who You Know” will follow the one-night reunion concert that brings together the original cast and creative team for a show to benefit the actor’s funds. The documentary follows players as they reconnect and rediscover the beauty and uniqueness of a hit musical, sharing the show’s underdog source and the glory of tennis.

As part of the promotional campaign, the studio released a photo of the show’s stars Jonathan Graf and Leah Mitchell at the concert.

The documentary promises to showcase electrical performances from the concert, as well as exclusive backstage footage of the creative team at the rehearsal, newly filmed interviews, archival videos and photographs, and footage from the original 2006 show.
“Spring Awakening” sparked Tony’s release, winning eight awards, including Best Musical, and covering teenage love, abortion, abuse, sexual identity, and the prohibition on suicide.

Key cast members are Jonathan Graf, Leah Mitchell, John Gallagher Jr., Lauren Pritchard, Lily Cooper, Skyler Austin, Gerard Canonico, Jennifer Damiano, Christine Estabrook, Gideon Glick, Robert Hager, Brian C. Johnson, Kristin, Jonathan B. Wright, Remy Jacquen were featured in the documentary as well as original Broadway director Michael Mayer.
“Spring Awakening: Who You Know” airs on HBO and will be available for streaming on HBO Max from May 3.
