Horror teaser stars Vigo Mortensen, Leah Seddox and Kristen Stewart

The terrifying new “Crimes of the Future” trailer has just been released.

It was revealed on Thursday that the highly anticipated flick of Canadian director David Cronenberg will have its world premiere in the official competition at the Festival de Cane in May.

The recently released teaser stars Viggo Mortensen, Léa Seydoux and Kristen Stewart in a cool scene with one face sewn.

In a nutshell, “As the human species adapts to an artificial environment, the body undergoes new transformations and mutations.

“His partner Capris (Sedox), Saul Tensor (Mortensen), a celebrity performance artist, performed a public transformation of his limbs in an Avant-Garde performance.

“Timlin (Stuart), an investigator at the National Organ Registry, obsessively tracks their movements when a mysterious group emerges … their goal – to use Saul’s notoriety to shed light on the next stage of human evolution.”

Cronenberg says of his flick and its Cannes premiere, “It’s a thrill to return to the ears for the premiere of ‘Crimes of the Future’, a film that deals with universal questions, concerns and fears about our bodies, evolution and more.” Technology would seem to be a threat to our humanity.

“I believe this is a film of our time and I look forward to seeing it in the most prestigious theaters in the world.”

The movie also stars Don McKeller, Tanya BT, Nadia Litz, Welket Bangue and Lehi Kornowski.
