Hugh Laurie reads every ‘thank you’ card mailed to Stephen Colbert for six

Hugh Laurie stopped by “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” on Friday to remind him to send Stephen Colbert, the current host of Christmas in 2016.

The “Roadkill” actor was given a Segway gift after his immediate appearance on the show a few weeks before the holiday.

During Laurie’s second tour on “The Late Show” in October 2017, Colbert addressed the fact that the British actor had failed to accept the gift and had not even thanked her for it.

For the next six months, Laurie sent Colbert a “thank you” card every few weeks.

About five years later, the actor appeared on the final episode of the show for a “dramatic presentation” that saw him read 57 comic cards that he had sent to Colbert at the time.
