Hollywood life was not for Jason Segal.

After finishing “How I Met Your Mother,” Segal decided to move to a “small farm town.”

“I was, ‘Oh, I can do whatever I want now,'” Segel said of ending the show on “Jimmy Kimmel Live.” “I’m going to live in this town and I’ve never left.”

Kimmel questioned whether Segal missed being in LA

“Sometimes, but not really. I like living in a small town. For example, I go to high school football games and eat a sandwich, which I didn’t know if you could do without the kids, but you can,” Segel said. “And I go to Christmas games in town and I wait outside and tell the little ones to sign my playbills. It’s really fun. I love it.”

Segel praised how great it was to walk around without the paparazzi.

“I just wander around like a big bird, ‘hey everyone,'” Segal said, mimicking the “Sesame Street” icon. “To the kids I’m like Muppet, and to the adults I’m the nude guy from Sarah Marshall.”

Kimmel admits she missed living in the same block as Segal and praised her for the brilliance of ordering room service at her home from a local hotel. “It was the greatest idea I’ve ever heard,” Kimmel said.

Segal now lives in a 21-acre orange grove, and when Jude Apato “tied up” them to live together in a one-bedroom apartment while filming the pilot for “Northern Hollywood” in 2001, he shared a room with Kevin Hart.

“Then, all of a sudden, Kevin Hart was just living with me and he’d be like, ‘Hey man, are you making breakfast? I want something too,'” he joked. “Then I’m making breakfast for Kevin Hart.”
