“American Idol” has dropped to the top 24 after Kennedy Anderson decided to drop out.
After winning one of the Platinum tickets during the audition, Anderson was the pioneer of the season for his stunning voice.
The show has seemed a bit unfocused in recent episodes, with Anderson’s Top 24 Act still being aired, but a video of Ryan Seckrest announcing that Anderson has been dropped.
“You may have noticed that there was no voting information right now during Kennedy’s performance,” Secret said. “Since we’ve taped these shows in Hawaii before, Kennedy has decided to leave our show for personal reasons. We wish him well.”

Addressing his choice on Instagram, Anderson wrote: “For personal reasons, I can’t continue American Idol. It was one of the hardest decisions I ever made, but I know it’s worth it. I am grateful to American Idol, the judges, the producers, the amazing contestants and all those who have supported me. Thank you for giving me such an amazing opportunity to share my voice, pursue my dreams, feel so much joy and happiness doing what I love, and make lifelong friends along the way. <3
No further details have been released at the moment about Anderson’s departure.
