In a new interview with SiriusXM’s “The Morning Mash Up”, Lizzo talks about double duty hosting and serving as a musical guest on this weekend’s “Saturday Night Live”.

The rapper was asked if he would go ahead and say “I want it”, to which he replied, “It’s really scary. No, but I think they came to me … I don’t mean to say I don’t want it because if I didn’t want it, I couldn’t do it.

“I do not do what I do not want to do. But it is a long order. I’m worried. You know what I can’t say? You know, the thing that makes me nervous is the smile. “

Lizo insisted, “I have to make at least one sketch where I am in character. As funny as I am, ridiculous. I don’t know if I can take anyone seriously. Looking at me like Kate McKinnon, how can you keep your face straight? That’s right. “

He went on to reveal whether “SNL” officials allowed him to get involved and share his own ideas.

Lijo said, “I’ll tell you something. Yes. And I have a lot of respect for the people of ‘SNL’ because these mothers work hard.

“It’s a lot of work that they put in. I mean they write a lot of sketches every week. Sketches that you’ve never seen. I think I’m in good hands too. They’re all very funny people. [so] I’m ‘making fun of me …’ “

Elsewhere in the interview, Lizo also talks about creating her own shapewear brand Itty and whether she was inspired by Kim Kardashian’s scheme line.

He shared, “This shapeware line took five years and so it was before Kim’s line. I was excited when it dropped, because I was, it made sure I was right you guys.

“I had a lot of meetings with the company and they didn’t believe in my shapewear approach. They were, ‘Well, no one is really doing shapeware. So you want lingerie or … ‘And I want,’ No friends, listen, shapewear is the future and we have to revolutionize it. ‘

“And Fabletics believed me … I had my first meeting five years ago and developed three years.

“I did not wear anything before. I stopped wearing bras. I stopped wearing panties for a while because I rebelled like girdles and shapewear and corsets and accessories.

“I had a bra that I liked that I got so bad at that it was torn, but the design was amazing. And I couldn’t find that size or style and a bang anywhere else. Well, not one thong… I got a lot thong, ”he said with a laugh.
