Michael Mailer discusses his return in The Young and the Restless

Kyle Abbott is returning to Genoa City for a playful story.

“The Young and the Restless” star Michael Miller opened up about repeating his role in the series and working with Susan Walters, who played Kyle’s long-lost mother, Diane.

“I got cold when they called me and told me the story,” recalls Mailer as he spoke to ET Canada. “I was so excited. If ever there was a story about Kyle coming back from Italy and coming back to the show, it was.

Mailer dropped out of the series last year after Kyle left for Europe with his wife, Summer Newman and their young son. While away from Y&R, Mealor appeared on another iconic TV show.

“I did a little bit of work on ‘It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia.’ It was a lot of fun, ”he said. “They were funny boys and it was exciting to go from one iconic show to another.”

The 30-year-old star has revealed what fans should expect from Kyle in the upcoming episodes of “Y&R”.

“Kyle is returning from Italy a little changed,” he noted. “He lives in a foreign country and is a full-time father. What fans can expect is the image of a father bear who is really protective of his son. He was a rocky three years.
