Prince Harry and Megan Merkel show affection at the opening of the Invictus Games

Prince Harry and Megan Merkel have finally launched the fifth edition of the Invictus Games after a two-year delay due to the COVID-19 epidemic.

Founded by Prince, the Paralympic-style competitive event, which showcases the indomitable essence of injured and sick caregivers and women, hosts its opening ceremony in the Netherlands on Saturday night.

Arriving on the yellow carpet at The Hague’s Juiderpark Stadium, the Duke of Sussex is dressed in gray, paired with formal attire with a white shirt and black dress shoes. The Duchess of Sussex looked effortlessly beautiful in a white off-the-shoulder blouse, black pants and a pair of heels.

Prior to the opening ceremony, Sussex joined the athletes for a welcome reception on Friday night and then the Jaguar Land Rover Driving Challenge on Saturday morning, which saw Harry and Meghan join in the fun.

In 2017, Meghan joined Harry at the Invictus Games in Toronto, where the two officially revealed their relationship. In 2018, they took part in the Sydney Games after announcing their pregnancy for son Archie Harrison.

The next Invictus Games will be held in Dusseldorf, Germany in 2023
