“The more we talk, the better [climate change] I think more changes will happen, “said William.

The father of three has credited his own childhood of “climbing bells, digging ditches” for his love of the environment. But the big moment that turned his head was spending time in Kenya in the gap years.

Prince William also mentioned the 2022 Earthshot Awards to be held in the United States, although they acknowledged that they have not yet chosen a city.

William shared what he hopes to see among the finalists for this year’s event.

“What I personally want to see is a more women-led solution and a more indigenous community-led solution,” she said.

Both Blanchett and William agree that they are “stubbornly optimistic” about being optimistic. “I believe I’m seeing it with my own eyes, it’s really inspiring,” William concluded.
