Psy announces first new album in five years and teases for next ‘Gangnam Style’

Psy is finally back.
This week, Korean pop megastar announced PSY 9thHer first album in five years, and she’s already teasing it could be another blockbuster international hit.

On Instagram, Sai shared a video of a concert by Joy in December 2013 in which he predicted that the most successful follow-up of his 2012 smash “Gangnam Style” could only come in 2022.
“I know many of you have high expectations for my next hit song,” he said in the clip. Honestly, I produced ‘Champion’ in 2002, and with the release of ‘Gangnam Style’ in 2012, it took me exactly 10 years to create a song that was even more exciting than ‘Champion’. “
Sai added, “I guess that’s what I’m trying to say, maybe next time you will see a song like ‘Gangnam Style’ in 2022.”

The artist’s previous album, 4X2 = 8Released in 2017 and featuring “I Love It”, “New Face” and “Love” singles, though none reached the heights of “Gangnam Style”.
Following its release in 2012, ‘Gangnam Style’, led by its memorable and humorous music video, rose to number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and became the first YouTube video to reach 1 billion views.
