Seinfeld’s Estelle Harris, who played Estelle Costanza, dies at 93

Estelle Harris, who played George Costanzer (Jason Alexander) ‘s mother Estelle on the popular NBC sitcom “Seinfeld”, has died just days before her 94th birthday.

The actress died of natural causes in the Palm Desert of California on Saturday evening.

“I am deeply saddened to learn that Estelle Harris died this evening at 6:25 pm,” said her son Glenn Harris, who held Estelle for her last breath. Estelle appeared in 27 episodes of “Seinfeld” between 1992 and 1998. Coincidentally, her character’s name was Estelle before she landed in this part.

A native of New York City, he was born on April 4, 1928. She began her acting career by participating in various amateur community theaters while raising her children. He soon had tremendous success on both the stage and the screen.
