Louis CK’s win for Best Comedy Album at the 2022 Grammy Awards doesn’t sit well with at least one of his accusers.
Talking to DiversityJulia Olov, one of five women who complained that CK revealed herself and masturbated in front of them, in some cases without their consent, addressed the Grammy victory.

“No one cares. It sends that message,” Olov said. That’s the truth. “
CK, who widely confirmed the details of the women’s incidents after the allegations were leaked in 2017, won the award for her 2020 comedy special “Sincere, Louis CK”, where she joked about her misconduct.
“There has been zero change in the way comedy is run. There are no rules, “Olov added.
The comedy writer and actor also spoke about his choice to speak publicly about his experience with CK in 2017 and regretted the decision.
“Knowing you can be able to help someone else, you accept it. It helps you get ahead, but it’s not fun. We took one for the team, ”she said of herself and the other women who came forward. “Even talking to you right now, I know it won’t work for me, but a lot of people are asking and it’s hard when he’s in a constant news cycle.”
Olov further believes that coming forward has not helped his career in any way and he thinks he is now seen as a “troublemaker” in the industry.
“Of course, his fans will say it’s because we’re not funny or we’re gold diggers – it’s my favorite, for example, we’ve gotten so rich from it,” he quipped. “People will say we want attention. Trust me, this is not the kind of attention I would ever expect. “

To win a big Grammy, Olov said, “It’s a bull **. What is the problem of the people? What good is a web site if it simply “blends in” with everything else out there? But what are you supposed to do? These people voted for him. I guess that’s what happens when comedy and music come together. “
Assuming CK’s view of the incident, Olov is also critical.
“I know he lost his TV contracts and suffered financial losses, but the big thing is ৷ for him, I think he thinks his God-given right to get these things, where most ordinary people would see this kind of platform as a privilege, “I don’t believe in cancellation culture, but obviously, Louis is not cancellation. He feels good to me. He’s touring. He’s selling. He’s won a Grammy.”
