“We’ll sing, we’ll dance, we’ll keep people’s names out of our mouths,” he said with a smile from the audience.

During his argument with Rock over a joke about Jada Pinkett Smith’s hair fall, Smith yelled at the Oscar presenter, “Keep my wife’s name out of your mouth.”

Noah was not the only one to mention the much-discussed Oscar moment. Presenting the award for the best song of the year, Questlav joked, “I believe you guys will be 500 feet away.”

In the pre-show, comedian Nat Bargatze also mentioned the slap, walking on stage wearing a black crash helmet and telling the audience, “They said comedians should wear it to the award show now. It doesn’t even cover your face. “
